Greg: Getting into the Thinking Sphinx code.
Greg: Instrumentation is on the table, but hasn’t done it yet because he has figured out the slowdown with instrumenting the system.
Seth: Looking into using ElasticSearch as a replacement for Thinking Sphinx
Design Team
Zan: A summary of what the design got out of the on-site meeting yesterday
- CSV-driving flat file for data portability so that data download would be much easier
- Expand and collapse of columns and rows no Genome Summary
Brian emphasized:
- Combining List with Genome Summary
- Genome Summary centric with speed and flexibility
- Facetted search
Zan: Needs to go back to the Statement of Work to reflect priorities.
Kai: Thinking about the data schema from a flat file perspective. What capabilities can we get from flat files?
Greg: How is the download done?
- Brian: Not on the fly, but on demand of download by users.
ACTION: Brian needs to get dataset to Kai. One row per feature with all its annotations with redundancy okay.
ACTION: Brian sends them genome summary used in papers. Brian will follow up with the Banfield group.
